Important, transitional status: Logsyst is currently in the process of being incorporated — the planned registration of "Logsyst Kft." (a Hungarian limited liability company) is expected in autumn 2026. Until incorporation is complete, the natural person named below acts as data controller. This notice will be updated once incorporation is complete, and the data controller will change to the registered company.
1. Data controller
Zsolt Szalay, acting in a personal capacity (prior to incorporation; planned legal successor: Logsyst Kft.)
Email: info@logsyst.com
Phone: +36 30 319 7430
Registered/postal address: 9142 Rábapatona, Fábián Ferenc utca 4., Hungary
2. What data we process, for what purpose, and on what legal basis
2.1 Contact form
If you send a message through the website's contact form, we process the following data: your name, email address, the content of your message, and whether you requested a callback. The message is received by email at info@logsyst.com — the data is not stored in a separate database; the message remains in our mailbox for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry, and we review this regularly.
Legal basis: your consent (accepting this notice is required before the form can be submitted).
Abuse prevention: when the form is submitted, the system temporarily limits the number of submissions per minute using an identifier derived from the sender's IP address (to prevent automated spam). This data lives in a temporary, automatically overwritten file on the server and is not permanently stored or reviewed.
2.2 Blog reactions (like/dislike)
Blog posts allow visitors to leave a "like"/"dislike" reaction. To do this, your IP address is one-way hashed using a random value ("salt") unique to this installation — your raw IP address is never stored. The hashed value is used solely to ensure that the same visitor can only react once per post; it cannot be used to identify you individually.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (operating an abuse-resistant, one-vote-per-visitor reaction system).
2.3 Campaign statistics (UTM)
If you arrive at the site via a social media link (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn), the system anonymously records in aggregate which source/campaign visitors arrived from (e.g. "Facebook: 42 clicks"). This does not involve storing or processing any IP address or individual identifier — only the campaign label (source, medium, campaign name) contained in the link and the time of arrival are recorded, from which no individual visitor can be identified.
Legal basis: since this data does not relate to an identified or identifiable person, it does not constitute personal data and GDPR does not apply to it.
2.4 Cookies and local storage
The website currently does not use tracking or analytics cookies. Your language and light/dark theme preference are remembered in your browser's own local storage (localStorage) — this data stays only on your device, is never sent to the server, and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.
3. Who has access to the data (processors)
Website hosting and the info@logsyst.com mailbox are provided by Simply.com (operated by team.blue Denmark A/S, CVR: 29412006, registered in Skanderborg, Denmark) — as a technical processor, they may access data stored on or passing through the server, strictly to the extent necessary to provide hosting and email services. Simply.com provides a signable Data Processing Agreement through their control panel; a signed copy of this should be obtained and kept on file.
4. Retention periods
- Contact form messages: for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry; this is reviewed regularly.
- Blog reactions (hashed IP): for as long as the related blog post remains published, or until you request deletion.
- Campaign statistics: as aggregate, non-personal data, may be retained indefinitely.
5. Your rights
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to: request access, request rectification, request erasure, request restriction of processing, object to processing, and — where applicable — request data portability. You may exercise these rights using the contact details in Section 1.
Providing your data is always voluntary. If you choose not to provide it, we will not be able to respond to your inquiry, or the relevant feature (e.g. blog reactions) will not be available to you — there are no further consequences.
No automated decision-making or profiling takes place under any of the processing activities described above.
6. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe our data processing violates applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH)
Address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11., Hungary
Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9., Hungary
Phone: +36 (1) 391-1400
Email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu
Website: www.naih.hu
If you reside in another EU/EEA member state, you may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your own country of residence. You may also bring proceedings before the competent court.
7. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice once Logsyst Kft. is formally registered, and whenever our data processing practices change in any material respect.
